[12 Apr 2006|09:27am] Whenever someone writes a journal entry about someone they are venting/ranting about, and especially when it is REALLY vague, my overactive imagination always assumes it is about me. on another note: New York City was awesomely fun. I felt really old being one of the two seniors on the trip. But the underclassmen are fun. We got to do all of my favorite things plus SING IN CARNEGIE HALL. Sweet. Sweet. Sweet. I didn't make one single human connection all day. everytime i opened my mouth. awkward silence. or people pretended to care, and then ignored me. then i tried to help this kid feel better after breaking up with a girl. and i absolutely failed. wow. i sucked today. I think it is because i am utterly and completely exhausted from the weekend. and this is a three day week. So perhaps i have a lot of time to sleep to get my social skills back. maybe tomorrow will be better. STATE HOCKEY [11 Mar 2006|06:43pm] Wow. Four Day Vacations are awesome. Our team got second place in the STATE! and that is kickass. Its disappointing, becuase we totally owned the championship game, and the last two St. Thomas goals shouldn't have counted. It was also really humbling to see all those guys crying. They have worked so hard to get there, and they had a terrific season. I think they all know that we are the true state champions, STA can just go fuck their female classmates. Oh wait. They DON'T HAVE ANY! Other than that. It was so much fun to hang out with everyone down in St. Paul for a couple days. I really have to say that my friends can be soooooo crazy sometimes. I would live through 10 times more drama than we make (and thats a buttload) to keep the crazy moments. And thank god we are intelligent and made friends with the cops on our floor. Because people were getting busted left and right, and we escaped unscathed. HURRAH! One of the cops actually was a cathedral grad from '74. Now, I am exhausted. I need a nap. A good film, and some comida. Tomorrow I need to finish my homework. Because monday starts THREE DAY WEEK OF SCHOOL! -and its a B-week so only ONE SPANISH CLASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hooorah hoorah hoooooooorah! Here is to phillip teddy chester nelson who was on the front page of the DNT!!! Here is to Marshall HOckey that finally got a cover story in our hometown!!!!! The Oscars [06 Mar 2006|12:09am] lauraandsam party productions strikes gold again! The Second Annual Oscar Party was a Blast!! Lots of people came, and they ate lots of food, the best of which was the CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN. A gift from the gods. Holy shit. ps. If you haven't tried pineapple dipped in chocolate, you MUST Zach Schneider asked Brittany to prom on one of the ballots. YAY! All the winners deserved their awards. And it isn't often that I feel I can say that. And meryl was there. Wow. Tom Hanks/Jack Nicholson. Wow. I got really sentimental with the clips of old films. I really just want to make a great film. I want to be part of that community. Films can be so magic. If i can make one film that makes people feel the way I feel when I watch a movie like Crash or Closer, I will have done what I set out to do. Thank you movies. and last but not least. CRASH WON BEST PICTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yay. It is SUCH an amazing work, and it truly cuts to the heart of racism. You really need to see it if you haven't. I screamed, I was so happy it won. Brokeback just wasn't of the same caliber. I really didn't feel it was as affecting. I came out of Crash speechless. [26 Feb 2006|12:06pm] Wow. Vacation. Excellent. Now i am tan and ready to face the arctic once more. St. Martin, FWI. You were good to me. I just read a book called THE GAME. Totally sweet. Fight club-esque, and fascinating. But it is sad when a good book is over. I need to be updated on what happened this week. any certain people asked to prom yet????? Cold. I have plenty to do. [03 Feb 2006|10:24pm] National Anthem tonight. Basically we rock. Chida almost didn't make it. And I parked WAY illegally. Sweet. Then. NORDIC CHOIR. HOLY WOW. I am simply in awe of their talent. There is nothing that amazing. It makes your soul tingle. Tomorrow is the Atmore. I am really excited to ski, but bummed i dont get to go to Aitkin with the group. oh well, it'll be sweet. I will just have to rely on the acting gods to bless me and make my enamoration believable. I did it last year. What the hell. I can do it again. Today I stood on a sand dune and watched the waves crash onto the shore. The wind was straight in my face, and I was singing Irish drinking songs at the top of my lungs. There is no other way to experience nature. Fuck yea. Ski race today, and tomorrow. Long days, but a blast nonetheless. Have a good weekend everybody. [29 Dec 2005|11:02pm] The Bolens went to The Family Stone this evening. Damn do I feel sorry for the other people in the theatre (not many). We are so loud when we watch movies. Always analyzing. Always sharing trivia with the person next to us. Always guessing what will happen next. Always commentating. Wow. We are hilarious. So a fucking HUGE "medium" lemonade, monster popcorn and pickwick dinner (pepper cheeseburger) I am content. Kind of. I just feel like I have done nothing all of break. Which isnt bad, seeing as I have no time to do nothing during school. But skiing is zapping my whole week. Oh well. New Years is coming. Yay! You should see the other guy! [28 Dec 2005|07:34pm] So i got in a fist fight today. Totally brutal. Blood fucking everywhere. And all I got was this darn swollen jaw. Yea right. I took a gate to the face in the course today. And a gate to my inner thigh. Yea oww. Well I feel positively wounded. Yay. I needed the surge of adrenaline tho. It has made me feel all happy. And I skied well. hooray! Hockey game tonight. Maybe we will be nice and win by less than eleven. SUCKAS! Lotsa homework to get done, but who cares when there is a party at my house. On saturday. Bonfire. Sauna. Lotsa stuff. Movies. Bring foood. and drinkables. haha thats a funny word. I pulled out my CD i made for prom last year. Damn good music. umm. need to go now. Have a fantastic evening. Pray for snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (i hate the use of multiple exlamation points...but that was a must) sam post comment
